Today, I read the story of Joseph and the Potiphar’s wife (for some reason, this story has been on my mind the past few days). Joseph had been sold by his brothers into slavery and Potiphar bought him and had him living in his home. Potiphar noticed that God was with Joseph and caused him to prosper at everything he did; therefore, Potiphar made Joseph in charge of his property, administrative affairs, and his household. Fiery Trials from the Devil

You’re outside on your patio enjoying a warm breeze, a snack, and a good book. Suddenly, a fly starts circling around you and buzzing loudly past your ear. Your citronella candle is lit and you repeatedly try to smack the fly with your swatter but it keeps getting away. It’s quiet for a couple of minutes but the pesky fly returns, determined to ruin your evening.

Why I’m Allowing God to Choose My Husband (Part 1)

Although Eric* told me he was agnostic when we first started dating (he didn’t believe in God but he couldn’t say that God didn’t exist), it didn’t scare me away. I was a new Christian and thought we could still have a healthy relationship as long as I didn’t cram my beliefs down his throat and he accepted that I wouldn’t change my faith. So what if he’s not a Christian? I thought. He might be a really great guy and I want to get to know him better.
